The most popular phone kit we install is the CK3100 Parrot Phone Kit, fitted in Wigan by one of our fully trained installers.

This is a universal hands free option all you must have is a phone with bluetooth (most modern phones will). Once your phone has been paired with the car kit it will acknowledge every time you get into the car once the ignition is switched on. Sound will come through a separate speaker or the car speakers and your voice will be picked up by a small build-in microphone so you can speak at normal level. Because the phone is connected by bluetooth it doesn’t have to be in a cradle so the phone can be anywhere in the car (boot/pocket/handbag/cradle). With the parrot kits as shown above the small screen will display your phonebook* so it’s very easy to use the dial to make and receive calls. If you change phones or someone else uses your car they can pair their bluetooth enabled phone into the kit. Laser Jammers are a growing part of K and M acoustic in car technology business, with more and more motorists being caught out by the police laser systems more than the fixed cameras systems of years gone by. We K and M supply a number of laser jammer systems.

One of the most popular pieces of equipment is something called a laser jammer – a small device which “jams” police cameras and stops them from taking a measurement. This is a black devise that we install to the front or rear of your car, or front and rear of your car if you want even more protection.

The Laser Star is the most advanced and cost effective laser jammer / diffusing on the market……or should we say laser guided parking sensor which just happens to work on the same 904nm light wave that the police handheld and mobile laser speed guns work on.

Whilst getting a suitably advanced warning from standard laser sensors on radar and some GPS detectors the Laser Star not only provides an audible and visual warning to the presence of 904nm laser but by using very fast microchip technology and a Class 1 laser diode the system will also fire back matching the same frequency and pulse rate thereby confusing the mobile laser speed camera equipment and preventing it from taking a speed reading for a self defined time frame, K and M Acoustics recommend 4-5 seconds, giving you enough time to brake and adjust your speed accordingly before a speed reading is obtained.

The simple answer is to go to your Local Car Audio stores have a listen to the demo cars and sound boards in the shops with your own ears not someone else’s opinion and with your budget in mind BUY the car audio from the shop that gives the best advice that sell the products that YOU like the sound of best!

         

Then if your not happy with the sound or want more BASS / SQ / go back and tell the “sales man or women” what your overall project is and they should be able to send you on the right track without wasting any money along the way on cr#p.
